This assignment describes a modified method for conducting a concept analysis of ONE important and useful nursing concept. This assignment’s concept must be supported by a published nursing theory. The selected concept is identified, and then the elements of the analysis process are used to synthesize knowledge for application, as demonstrated by the development of model, borderline, and contrary cases. The concept’s theoretical applications are also discussed. Non-nursing theories are not permitted. The paper concludes with a summary of the student’s newfound understanding of the concept. Throughout the analysis, scholarly literature is incorporated.
