What is a Professional Nurse Association?

It is an organization that publicly represents the core values of the nursing profession and is developed to collectively advocate on behalf of its members. (Halstead, 2018).

“”They help further develop nursing standards of practice, expands the body of knowledge through research and evidence-based practice, and promote nurses’ general welfare in the workplace. They also provide continuing nursing education, continuously develop nursing as a profession, and serve as legislative and political advocate for nurses and those served by nurses” (Halstead, 2018 p. 109).
