Q5. The advancement in the computer information technology has brought bout immense changes in the nursing profession. Today, with the electronic health records, nurses are now able to address the most complex health issues because of the improved communication brought about the nursing informatics. The quality of the Healthcare has improved significantly because of the ability of the nurses to access quality and comprehensive healthcare information of the patients.
The integration of the nursing informatics with Modern Healthcare services has improved the delivery of first end health services. For instance, it is much easier for the nurses to identify any change in the information status of the patient because the information is readily available. The nurse can use the updated health record of the patient to recommend an appropriate course of actions that need to be taken to help the patient. While the adoption of EHR has brought about a lot of benefits in the delivery of health services, the question of how to prevent the poor design of the EHRs is not addressed (Ajami, & ArabChadegani, 2013). This is a situation that can jeopardize the integrity of the information in the EHRS thereby causing errors that can put the life of the patient at risk.

Q6. The future of the nursing informatics is a very important area of consideration. Through the study, we did see the importance nursing informatics in the healthcare services. Therefore, the benefits need to be extended to all hospitals so as to improve service delivery and the quality of services offered to the patients. In the future, there is a need to have more nurses trained on how to mine and organize the essential nursing information (Lee, 2014). If every hospital or a health care center has a nurse, who can assist a nursing unit and other health professional obtain evidence-based information about the patients can help greatly in offering careful and safe medical services to patients.
Also, it is imperative that hospitals and health clinics implement EHRs that can help nurses and patients gather relevant information about their health at any time when needed. Every hospital should consider having a nursing informatics department that will ascertain that safety, relevancy, and confidentiality of the information contained in the EHRs. The benefits that the EHRs have brought in our healthcare sector cannot be overlooked. All that is needed is to better the healthcare service industry for the benefits of the patients. Public and private hospitals should look forward to the implementation of the EHRs and training of nurses to work in the informatics departments.
Q7.Chapter 18 our course study outlines the need to have committed management in the implementation of the electronic health records in our hospitals (Capner, 2000). As aforementioned, the importance of the healthcare informatics can be overlooked at any one time as it is a technology that has brought efficiency in service delivery in the health care sector. It has reduced the cost of medication as well as providing personalized healthcare. The health managers in hospitals and clinics should be in the frontline of offering nurses opportunities to further their education in the informatics department so that patient outcomes can be improved.
There is a need to structure our nursing units to be goal oriented and embrace the full technology in the health care industry. By so doing, we will improve the service delivery to a large extent. The beauty of work is to clinch the goal at the end of the day. Likewise, the goal of our service provision units should be to boost the outcome of the patients. To achieve all these benefits, every hospital needs to be structured to have a management that is focused on health care informatics. Retraining of the health officer in healthcare informatics should be the goal of every hospital from now on.
Q8. Telehealth has become an important discipline in the health care sector. Hospitals and clinics have ripped the benefits of this technology in their service delivery (LeRouge, & Garfield, 2013). For instance, there are some cases in the hospitals that require close supervision such as the ICU units where there are people who need close monitoring. Because of the seriousness of the health conditions of the patient in the ICU unit, there is a need to have an efficient communication system in each unit so as to relay information to the necessary department as they observe and record from the patients.
The nurses need to monitor the behavior of the patient and transmit information to the doctors as fast as the can. Having cameras and videos that the nurse or the doctor uses to monitor the behavior of the patient all the time can improve treatment administration. Sometimes patients are left alone. At this time, anything worse can happen to the patient and by the time the nurse or the doctor arrives, the patient is in a dangerous situation. However, if a reporting system is installed in the patient units, the nurse will be aware of anything happening and respond with deserved agency. Hospitals should consider implementing the Telehealth technologies to improve service delivery.

- Do not include quotes—instead summarize and paraphrase the information
- Follow APA-7th edition
- Points will be deducted if the above is not followed
Participation –replies to your classmates or instructor
- A minimum of 6 responses per week, on at least 3 days of the week.
- Each response needs at least ONE reference with citations—best if it is a peer reviewed journal article
- Each response needs to be at least 75 words in length (does not include your list of references)
- Responses need to be substantive by bringing information to the discussion or further enhance the discussion. Responses of “I agree” or “great post” does not count for the word count.
- Follow APA 7th edition
- Points will be deducted if the above is not followed

Hello class and welcome to the class and I will be your instructor for this course. This is a -week course and requires a lot of time commitment, organization, and a high level of dedication. Please use the class syllabus to guide you through all the assignments required for the course. I strongly encourage that you do not wait until the very last minute to complete your assignments. Your assignments in weeks 4 and 5 require early planning as you would need to present a teaching plan and interview a community health provider. I advise you look at the requirements for these assignments at the beginning of the course and plan accordingly. I have posted the YouTube link that explains all the class assignments in detail. It is required that you watch this 32-minute video as the assignments from week 3 through 5 require that you follow the instructions to the letter to succeed. Failure to complete these assignments according to instructions might lead to a zero. Your initial discussion post should be a minimum of 200 words and response posts should be a minimum of 150 words. Be advised that I grade based on quality and not necessarily the number of words you post. A minimum of TWO references should be used for your initial post. For your response post, you do not need references as personal experiences would count as response posts. If you however cite anything from the literature for your response post, it is required that you cite your reference. You should include a minimum of THREE references for papers in this course. Please note that references should be no more than 5 years old except recommended as a resource for the class. Furthermore, for each discussion board question, you need ONE initial substantive response and TWO substantive responses to either your classmates or your instructor for a total of THREE responses. There are TWO discussion questions each week, hence, you need a total minimum of SIX discussion posts for each week. I usually post a discussion question each week. You could also respond to these as it would count towards your required SIX discussion posts for the week.
I understand this is a lot of information to cover in 5 weeks, however, the Bible says in Philippians 4:13 that we can do all things through Christ that strengthens us. Even in times like this, we are encouraged by God’s word that we have that ability in us to succeed with His strength.
